Little boy lost at Comic Con.
The age of innocence should never be forgotten
…never let it go
At Comic Con a little boy had lost his dad in the crowd, and was scared until he saw the Flash and Wonder Woman. He went up to the Flash to asked for help, because he knows him.
Adorable.Moments when you know you’re cosplaying it right.
Keep moving…
So no running today, but I did walk 1.5 with the hubs and the dog.
I have a hard time maintaining new behaviors for very long, so I’m pretty stoked about this being the third week of conscious effort into physical activity. I am also very grateful for my client in Practicum who gave me my mantra:
MY BEHAVIORS HAVE TO MATCH MY LONG TERM GOALS
I don’t know what it is about this simple idea that resonates, when I have so much other information available to me and in my own head. But it does. It hits home and makes sense. If I’m tired of living the way I am, I have to live a different way to have things change. Moving to the new house has made that so much easier than I had dared to hope. I feel comfortable again doing things like crunches, sit ups, push ups in this house. On this floor. I have my space. Alan has space too. We have a neighborhood. I am so grateful for this change - even though it has made me semi crazed midst Practicum, work and preparing to go to Uganda again. Thank you change. Thank you.
This is just cool! :)

_ So true_
Running.
Okay so I don’t run.
Like at all.
Ever.
When I was a kid I did run - but not long distances. I used to tell classmates that I was like a cheetah, very fast (very true) but no good for the long haul.
I ran today. Not a lot, but a little bit. 2/10 of a mile to be exact. Which makes the second time in less than a week that I ran a little bit. Though the first time was 1/10 of a mile so I doubled that today. I should be feeling pretty darn good!
I was surprised that I wasn’t more winded - though I don’t know that right now I can do more than 1/10th at a stretch. But I did it - and I’m pretty proud of that. :)
ps…
Work on making my behaviors match my long term goals. My long term goals are to be healthy and active. So I did that.
And I’m down 4.8 lbs this week.
Woot!
Let’s see where this can go before I hop a jet plane on the 10th. ;)
Volunteering is good for you!
Today’s exercise content brought to you by the Stark County Humane Society where Jenn and I walked 4 crazy dogs apiece and not only walked, but muscled them under control, giving our arms a workout as well. Good for body and soul. :)… 50 minutes of running around (with about 25 minutes scattered in between getting our bearings and petting cats!) and playing with puppies. Ahhhh.
Photos eventually. They’re all on Jenn’s camera.
New rule: If I forget the weekend challenge (or I don’t have time to post it- which is very likely), then continue the week challenge into the weekend. :)
I dropped the ball yesterday, hardcore. I ate a lot. When I say a lot, I mean a lot. It was my abuelita’s birthday celebration complete with…
Let’s kick things back into full gear shall we?
We have officially 66 days til the start of summer. It’s been almost a month since we started OpFABS! Let’s kick it up a notch and get great results this week. :)
This week (Mon to Fri) I challenge YOU to:
- Walk somewhere three times this week you…
I like these weekend challenges!!! Small enough that I in my out of shape state can do them, but big enough to make a difference and help move me towards my goals. <3
This weekend is going to be a bit less intense because I know Easter is coming up and most people will be busy with families, travel and such.
This weekend (Saturday & Sunday) I challenge YOU to:
- Wherever you go this weekend park in the farthest spot possible and use those two legs of yours….
